Stand Tall party - Vancouver

The Great Bear Party was a great experience and an opportunity to get in touch with like-minded people and Greenpeace.

We met at the house of two Greenpeace members who created a comfortable atmosphere. Everyone brought snacks and soon we had some interesting conversations. After a while it was time to watch the Great Bear Movie.

In my opinion it is an ideal way to communicate the problems and the needs connected with the rainforest since it explains the situation in an easily understandable and catchy way, and of course a picture says more than a hundred words could do. After watching the movie we had a telephone conference call with a Greenpeace campaigner and several other Great Bear Parties who participated. We were given information about the most recent updates and had the chance to ask questions on the campaign. In the end of the evening we discussed ways everyone who wants to get involved can take action for example by writing a letter to the government.

All together this evening was a full success to get people informed, and new friends were made.
